Komoot currently shows that you cannot follow the path along the Ahr further towards the motorway bridge - but that is not true. We walked there today (9/25/23) without any problem. There are also no signs saying that you are not allowed to go there.
P.S.: We were very happy that we were able to observe several kingfishers from the path. 🥰

The mountain trail along the Ahr River offers an impressive hike with picturesque views and varied trails. A popular route runs from Kreuzberg to Ahrweiler and includes highlights such as the Teufelsloch (Devil's Hole), the Engelsley (Engelsley), and the Krausberg Tower. Another option is the Kloster Marienthal Loop, which starts from Ahrweiler Markt and is approximately 15.4 km long.
