This spectacular fountain dates back to 1564 and is a living example of the bringing of water to the city built by Ginés Martínez de Aranda. It consists of a triumphal arch supported by four pilasters and eight columns. It is decorated with the shield of Philip II and five medallions.

In the Plaza de Santa María, next to the Cathedral, are the Casas Consistoriales Altas, the Seminario de San Felipe Neri and in the center, the Fuente de Santa María, built by the Council in 1564 to commemorate the arrival of water to the city, it stands out for its triumphal arch and the coats of arms of Baeza and King Philip II.
