Old Bobsleigh Track Fichtelberg

To heat an old, half-ruined toboggan run by mountain bike is probably a rare and very special adventure. Here at Fichtelberg it is possible. The railway dates back to GDR times and has not been used for years. But beware - in some places, nature has already recovered quite a lot and trees and shrubs slow you down.

The singletrack does not go completely through the old racetrack. On site you can also look for an alternative route yourself. If you are too lazy to go up again, you simply take the suspension railway up to the summit. ;-)

The remains of the old natural bobsleigh track is well below the summit of the Fichtelberg which is easy to find and a nice highlight on the mountain bike tour in the Erzgebirge. There you can experience sports history live!
