View of the Fichtelberg Ski Jumps

Great view of the Fichtelberg ski jumps in Oberwiesenthal, which are well-known far beyond the region. The facility consists of various ski jumps of different sizes. The facility is equipped with mats to enable ski jumping training all year round. The ski jumps belong to the Oberwiesenthal Olympic training center. The first ski jump was built in 1938. After it was demolished, a new facility with a steel tower was built in the 1970s. In the decades that followed, the ski jump was modernized several times. In 2013, it received a new inrun structure and floodlights to provide optimal training conditions.
