The "Cathedral in the Mountain" in Graz is not a church, but a futuristic event center deep inside the Schlossberg (Castle Hill), accessible via a tunnel from Schlossbergplatz (Castle Hill Square). It was created from the former UNESCO-protected Schlossberg Tunnel (an extensive underground system) that originally served as a shelter and cistern and was converted in the 1990s to create a unique event location.
