Within the fortress grounds of Grauerort, visitors can enjoy a regularly operating narrow-gauge railway (600 mm track). Dedicated railway enthusiasts welcome visitors to take a seat in converted ammunition wagons. The scenic route runs for one kilometer from the engine shed to the former landing stage on the Elbe River and back.

For a small fee, the Fedtungs Blitz train takes you on a tour around the Grauer Ort fortress in Bützfleth. A wonderful experience for all ages. Highly recommended.

There is a campervan site on the fortress grounds, which is very popular. Sanitary facilities were specially provided for this purpose.
Every first Sunday of the month during the summer, a flea market takes place opposite the fortress grounds.
Furthermore, cultural and musical performances are also held.
