Car-Free Day (CFD) takes place every Sunday morning from 6:00 to 10:00 AM in downtown Malang. We regularly participate in CFD Jakarta and take advantage of the opportunity during our visit to Malang. During the event, the road from Jalan Besar Ijen to Jalan Semeru is closed to traffic. Visitors use CFD for exercise, walking, or cycling along the route.
In 2011, CFD Malang was officially established by a mayoral decree.
