The "pagliai" (shelters) of Castronovo di Sicilia are ancient rural dwellings built with straw or hay, used as shelters or storage for tools and crops.
Right at a crossroads on the Magna Via Francigena, they're a great place to stop because you can sit inside, yet they're very close to the village.
