Tips
Borgo Riena, located in the municipality of Castronovo di Sicilia, is an abandoned fascist village, built between 1941 and 1943 to bring farmers closer to their work fields. Although it was equipped with essential services such as a school and church, it was abandoned in 1950. Legend has it that its only inhabitant was Totò Militello, a fugitive from life imprisonment.
