The Baldy Mountain Trail is a short, relatively easy loop through beautiful century-old mixed forest that crosses a lovely running spring, passes the remnants of an old ranger cabin and stable, and ends at the summit, Manitoba’s high point at 832 metres. There’s a lovely picnic area next to the 12-metre observation tower, with several interpretive signs that explain the area’s fur-trade history, early settlers, and natural ecology. It’s an excellent path for a peaceful walk that ends with a memorable view.
