A renowned institution that conducts experiments on nuclear particles. The colliders are located in France and Switzerland and physicists from many countries work here. The museum is free to visit.

Although the public is no longer granted direct access to the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we found the visit to CERN to be extremely worthwhile. On the tour we booked, we were captivated by the lively explanations of a British scientist who was involved in the discovery of the Higgs boson and therefore had authentic information to offer. In addition to the well-made museum, we even caught a glimpse of the control room of the Atlas experiment.

Conclusion: a very worthwhile excursion for those interested in science!
