Tucked just south of Portugal Cove, Goat Cove is a rugged, wave-exposed inlet framed by steep cliffs and narrow headlands overlooking Conception Bay. The cove is reached by a short but rocky side path off local walking routes, leading to viewpoints where you can watch surf breaking against the shoreline and seabirds circling the cliffs. It has a distinctly wild feel, with uneven rock shelves, strong ocean sound, and limited shelter, making it a dramatic stop for photography or a quiet pause on coastal walks. Despite being close to town, it feels strikingly remote.
