Famous is the moated castle, which dates back to the 15th century and was expanded in the 16th century. It has a square floor plan, a rectangular courtyard and has four three-storey wings and round corner towers. To the east, preceded by the castle, are a farm building with a barn and a barn from the 18th century. In the southwestern tower was a prison.

In 1340, the moated castle was mentioned for the first time in a document, when it was in the possession of Albrecht von Hohenlohe. In the 14th century, the nobles of Vestenberg, who rebuilt the moated castle into a castle, which was destroyed in the peasant wars around 1525, followed in the 14th century. Kunz Christoph von Vestenberg let build from about 1569 from the remains of today's castle. In 1592, the indebted Sigismund von Vestenberg sold the castle and estate to Lorenz von Münster zu Lisberg. Under this family, the castle was partially baroque. In 1783, the castle and the corridor were sold to the Counts of Castell. In 1942, the water company Georg Jaeckel bought it, from which it inherited the current owners, the Friedrich family; they have restored it in several phases.
