The Stepanovskoye-Volosovo Estate is the ancestral estate of the Kurakin noble family, whose history dates back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The palace of the princely Kurakins is located in the Zubtsovsky District of the Tver Region, near the village of Dorozhayevo.
The palace and estate grounds, previously neglected, were purchased and restored by new owners and philanthropists.
The interiors of the main house convey the atmosphere of estate life of one of Russia's most distinguished noble families: with carefully placed accents, respect for history, and a carefully preserved memory of the tastes and passions of the former owners, embodied in a new private art collection in the spirit of 19th-century estate culture.
