The Resurrection Church in the village of Ramenye was founded on June 23, 1871. The construction of the church was completed in 1892, and the central altar was consecrated on October 18 in honor of the Resurrection of Christ. By 1916, the parish had a population of 3,589 (1,717 men and 1,872 women). In 1937, the Church of St. John the Baptist was closed. The church was converted into a machine and tractor station. In 1991, the church was returned to the faithful. In December 2011, a 3rd-year student of the Kolomna Orthodox Theological Seminary, Priest Andrey Tarasov, was appointed the rector.
