Depending on which side you approach the parish church “Zum Heiligen Abendmahl” from, it appears as a closed castle of God or as an almost completely glazed shell. In this way, the building under the tent roof effectively combines seclusion and openness to the world at the same time. Planned and begun before the Second Vatican Council (1962-65), the architect Siegfried Östreicher implemented key ideas of the Liturgical Movement with the unusual spatial figure, the free-standing altar and the separate sacrament house in Wörthsee in Upper Bavaria by 1964.
