This iconic downtown store, which was originally a chick hatchery founded in 1923, now offers premium brands for an active outdoor lifestyle, including clothing and gear for hiking, paddling, and exploring the Driftless Area. Sadly, the Rod and Rivet Orvis fly fishing store down the street recently closed. Fortunately, the Decorah Hatchery has always supplied a limited amount of fly fishing gear such as flies, tippet and leader material.
