With a 3 mile (4.8 km) stretch of golden sand gently sloping towards the Atlantic Ocean, Woolacombe Bay is a beautiful place to enjoy the British seaside. Woolacombe is consistently named Britain's Best Beach, and is even considered to be one of the best beaches in Europe. Popular with surfers and families, the area is a designated North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
