In today’s episode of Vedangi vs cows, we had- Cows:1 Vedangi:0 Not my first time abandoning a route because I was being a wimp and didn’t fancy going past a field of cows🤣 (some of them were right in the middle of the road). Very un-Indian, I know, but if there had been a clear exit route or if the gate wasn’t there behind me, I’d have chosen to try my chances. But in this case, there were too many obstacles in a worst case scenario🤷🏽♀️

Such an eventful day! Crashed on the side of the road after getting clipped by a trailer carried by a car. Then, when I somehow got to Caiguna, no rooms were available and I had to decide to keep going, very reluctantly, to the next roadhouse- Cocklebiddy.
I was tired from lack of food and water, and not even sure if the Hammerhead file is saved or not (it didn’t get uploaded automatically like it should). But I recorded on my Komoot too- thank goodness! So glad I’ve been recording on two devices😂 6 years of no-data paranoia led to something good at least
HEAT EXHAUSTION🫠 the “feels like” temp was 43 degrees at one point! Lions club in Balasore welcomed me at one of their project sites. Had to have a 40 min sleep🤦🏽♀️ Did two TV interviews while feeling SO DIZZY that I didn’t know what to hold onto. It was a real test of patience🥲

Had to press a reluctant pause on project RTW due to some visa formalities for my UK residency (and some fundraising for the final bit of the ride). Will be back to India in about 30 days back in action🫡 Until then, no point crying over the embarrassment of having to do this in the first place. Gotta
