The church was built in the 1870s according to plans by master builder J. Hallberg from Ängelholm.
The altar, with its altarpiece painted by the artist Pär Siegård, was added during the restoration in 1949/50. An older altarpiece dates from the late 16th century. New pews were also purchased during the restoration.
In the early 1970s, the church interior was altered again. The space below the organ stand was shortened. A new sacristy was created, and the altar ring was removed from the choir.
The church bell, which belonged to the old church in Rya, was recast in 1925.
The bronze candlestick in the choir dates from the 17th century, as do the two bronze altar candlesticks and the communion chalice.
The sandstone baptismal font dates from the late 12th or early 13th century and was made in the so-called Mörarpsmästaren workshop.
