Ludlow Hut is a popular hut for winter backcountry trips, but it is also open in the summer for reservations. The hut is managed by the Sierra Club and Clair Tappaan Lodge, and you can call Clair Tappaan Lodge to reserve a bunk. There are no services here, and there is plenty of dispersed camping in the area and around Richardson Lake.
