It's now 4 years old, but the infrastructure hasn't developed any further, except for the snack bar when it opened... The toilets... They've seen better days. The rangers have to stand outside whatever the weather (it rained when we were there) and check that everyone has a valid ticket.

516 Arouca is a pedestrian bridge in Arouca, northern Portugal, constructed as a suspension bridge. With a length of 516 m, it replaces the 494 m long Charles Kuonen suspension bridge (Valais, Switzerland) as the pedestrian bridge with the longest span in the world. It crosses the gorge of the Paiva River at a height of 175 m. Depending on the source, it is also considered the second longest pedestrian bridge in the world after the Baglung Parbat rope bridge in Nepal. Admission is affordable & worth it 👍🏽 the large wooden footbridge is included in admission and takes up to 2.5 hours depending on your condition.

When we were here, the bridge was not yet finished. But in the future you will have a gigantic view from there. I personally would not have preferred building a bridge.
