The station garden is the relic of the old station of Vohwinkel, which was right next to the terminus of the suspension railway. From there one looked directly at the entrance portal of the station. On 1 December 1908 the new station Vohwinkel was put into operation, which still serves the passenger traffic today. The old station Vohwinkel was still used for freight.
