The Pöhlberg is a mountain in the Erzgebirge (Saxony) with an altitude of 831.1 m above sea level. NHN. [1] It is located just east of the district town of Annaberg-Buchholz in the Erzgebirgskreis. Until the 18th century, the mountain is referred to in land and city maps as Bülberg or Bielberg. [3] [4] Among the ways of deriving the name, the Slavic syllable "Biel" = white (white mountain) but also "Bühl" or "Biel" can be listed as ancient names for hills or hills.
