The Passerelle des Capucins was built in 1895 to connect the Old Mole, built in the second half of the 18th century, to the fortified right bank of the mouth of the Goyen. The pedestrian bridge (which can also be crossed by bike) owes its name to the Domaine des Capucins, located on the slope above the Passerelle.

You can jump off it into the sea when the tide is high enough to submerge the cross point of the X holding up the bridge.
