In the heart of the white mountain village of Comares, you'll find this 16th-century church, built on the remains of an old mosque. The building is a beautiful example of the Mudéjar style, which combines Christian and Moorish influences. Note the wooden ceiling with geometric patterns and stars, typical of Andalusia. From the church square, you also have a magnificent view of the Axarquía region. It's an atmospheric spot to reflect on the rich history of Comares.
