The musicians play guitars, violins, tambourines, and lutes, while the dancers—often wearing traditional costumes with black skirts, red sashes, and hats adorned with flowers and ribbons—perform a joyful, rhythmic dance.
The Verdiales are known for their lively melodies, improvisation, and festive atmosphere. They are an important cultural symbol of Comares and the surrounding villages and are still performed during fiestas, village celebrations, and religious processions.
