Miyamizu is a hard water discovered by Yamamura Tazaemon in 1840 (Tenpo 11) and is used as an essential water for sake brewing in the Nada Gogo region. This monument stands quietly in an area dotted with sake breweries, south of Nishinomiya Station, in the city center, where sake breweries still dot the area today.
