To keep the beautiful open space of the Goldene Aue largely free of trees and shrubs, peaceful, calm, and robust little wild horses graze here. The small herd cultivates the open grassland and creates valuable habitat for rare plant and animal species.

The grounds can be entered through the entrance gates, and the path leads past a diverse range of plants and two bodies of water directly across the street. Simply fantastic!

The Goldene Aue is a special nature area that requires a lot of consideration from bikers and hikers. Only specified routes may be used. Unfortunately there are always the same bikers who believe they have to criss-cross nature. These couple of I ..... will manage that biking has to be severely restricted in the near future for better or worse.
