Hiking
The Doric Columns are a striking architectural feature known as The Folly. These six stone columns were originally part of the Cheltenham Pump Room in Harrogate, constructed in 1835. After the building was demolished in 1939, the columns were stored for preservation. In 1961, the Yorkshire Archaeological Society presented them to the Northern Horticultural Society, which later became part of the Royal Horticultural Society. The columns were erected at Harlow Carr in 1964, where they have since become an iconic part of the garden's landscape.
