The pier in Hastings won the coveted Pier of the Year award in 2017 as well as the Stirling Prize for architecture. It was reopened in April 2016 following a long campaign and rebuilding process after the fire in 2010 which had destroyed about 95% of it.
It is a wonderfully clean and open structure, with a cafe in the middle and some colourful wooden huts offering different goods and services.

The pier in Hastings reopened in April 2016 after a fire in 2010 almost completely destroyed it. Now he is beautiful spacious and clean. Small colorful wooden houses serve as small shops. There is a cafe where you can eat and drink inside and out. By the way, there is also the possibility to marry on the pier. You can also buy plaques and signs or have them made to perpetuate themselves or loved ones on the railing of the pier.
