The Église Saint-Jacques in Lambour, the latter now part of the city of Pont-l'Abbé, is the ruins of a church, dating back to the 13th century. When the peasants of Lambour in the peasant uprisings of the 17th century - like many Breton communities - the forehead of the French crown, was at the behest of Louis XIV the church spire destroyed. In the following decades, the church declined further, after the French Revolution, it was finally abandoned.
