In 1750, the old church was so desolate that a new hall church was built in 1752-54. The patronage changed from Boniface to Wendelin. The nave, covered with a gable roof, has a recessed choir closed off on three sides to the west. The facade tower in the east, made of ashlar masonry, is covered with an onion dome. Its top floor houses the bell tower behind the sound arcades. The portal is in the facade tower.

The ceiling paintings in the interior were made by Georg Anton Urlaub in 1753. The three altarpieces are by Johann Peter Herrlein. The carvings on the high altar were created by Johann Joseph Keßler. The stucco was made by Bernhard Hellmuth. The organ with eleven registers in the manual and three registers in the pedal was built in 1860 by Johann Caspar Schlimbach.
