Hiking

There used to be four windmills in the small fishing village of Wieck. However, only one has survived to this day. Slightly hidden between the thatched houses, it now leads a relatively quiet existence and is often overlooked. Efforts are being made to put the mill house back into active use, but it must first be repaired.

There used to be 4 windmills in the small fishing village of Wieck on the beautiful Fischland/Darß peninsula. There were 3 alone on the Mühlenberg near the hunting lodge on Wiecker Moor. The Mühlenweg still points to this old location. But only the mill on the bay with a clear view of the sea remained. It was used by the Niemann miller family for years. This last Wiecker mill no longer has any technology. Only the octagon and the onion-shaped cap typical of the Pomeranian region still exist.
