The Pas de Roland is a gorge dug by the Nive on the outskirts of Itxassou en Labourd. Located at the bottom of the gorge, the path runs along beautiful cliffs in a remarkable mineral setting. The road follows the river, in the Basque hinterland in a pleasant and bucolic atmosphere.

You can park further at the start of the hiking trail to avoid the street along the Nive. The road is narrow and there is not much parking space along the Nive.
