In the beautiful park of the parish in Cavalese, there is the parish church of the Assumption. The Gothic structure is characterized by a towering bell tower, built in the 17th century by Giuseppe Alberti, and a wood-paneled vestibule decorated with frescoes by the artist Antonio Longo. The parish church existed before 1112, but was rebuilt in the 15th century in Romanesque-Gothic style. In 1610, a fourth was added to the original three naves, divided by rows of cylindrical and polygonal columns. A heavy fire that broke out in 2003 destroyed the roof and vault, damaging the pointed gable portal, affecting the entire structure. However, the restoration work has revealed hidden paintings and treasures.
