The Rauhanpaalu – the Peace Pole in Urho Kekkonen National Park – symbolically marks Santa Claus's home at Korvatunturi. It bears the inscription ‘Maa rauhan, maailman rauhan’ (“Peace in the land, peace in the world”) and reminds hikers of the importance of community and harmony. A quiet, powerful place in the heart of the wilderness, it provides a special culmination to the long trek from Kemihaara to Korvatunturi.
