On the outskirts of the village of Wallenborn is the old Drees of the village. Its water was very much valued by the people in earlier times. It was used as a soft drink during the strenuous field work or in the kitchen when baking traditional buckwheat cakes (Heedeléschkoochen). It was mostly the task of the children to fetch the delicious water from the spring. For this purpose, the small milk jug made of sheet metal was usually used, which with its lid and handle could also be carried by the little ones.
