Mercer commissioned the new NBSK pulp mill in Stendal in 2004. Pulp Stendals production capacity is around 660,000 ADt per year. The raw material used is mainly pine and spruce wood in the form of thinnings and wood chips from the sawmill industry. Like pulp Rosenthal, pulp Stendal's production complies with strict environmental regulations regarding air and water emissions.

Huge and if you drive in hot weather, there is no shady spot. But, it's good to know that the paper and pulp we use, which used to be produced under significant environmental pollution, is now produced in a more environmentally-friendly way.
