The swinging iron bridge to the north of the Royal Botanic Garden Peradeniya over the Mahaweli River is a characteristic entrance to the Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. Unfortunately, the suspension bridge was closed in August 2025. However, it is still a worthwhile photo opportunity.
