This section of the Rondanestien and the SAGA long-distance hiking routes crosses the wild western flanks of Øverlihøgda. The mountain is notable for the wreck of a German Junker 52 aircraft that crashed here in 1942 after an attempted emergency landing. The wreck can be found to the east of the summit.
