The relatively small enclosure with 3.6 hectares is located between the Kiel Canal and the Kronshagen-Ottendorfer Au. You can reach the enclosure from Eckernförder Straße. The entrance is in the area of Eckernförder Straße / Rungholtplatz / Nordseestraße.
Fallow deer, mouflon and Scottish highland cattle live in the grazed grassland on a hilltop made of excavated sewer material. The animal enclosure is accessed via the canal hiking trail
