The name of the well, which has a healing effect, is a combination of legend and reality. Its name can be traced back to Saint Stephen. It was renovated in 1996 for the 1000th anniversary of his marriage to Gisella. Its water is sulfite, acidic water, which is located at the main entrance to Csopaki Beach, in a columned gloriette.

The Sankt-Stephan-und-Gizella-Brunnen (Hungarian: Szent István és Gizella kút) is one of the most famous sights in the charming municipality of Csopak on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. It connects regional geology with Hungarian history. The fountain was erected in 1996. The occasion was an important anniversary: the millennium of the wedding of the first Hungarian king, Stephen I the Saint, to his consort Gisela of Bavaria. The wedding took place in 996 and laid the foundation for Hungary's Christian-European orientation.
