The ship was laid down in 1962 by VEB shipyard "Neptun" in Rostock as one of eight structurally identical ships of the Framo Albatros series and used by the Deutsche Seereederei in Rostock under the name Condor in freight traffic on the Baltic Sea, North Sea and the Mediterranean .After it was decommissioned in 1986, the Condor was converted into a swimming youth leisure center under the direction of Wolfdietrich Barmwoldt and in 1988 handed over to the GST-GST department “Young Sailors”.After the fall of the Wall, an association was founded in 1991 to maintain the ship as a youth ship, leisure home and conference center. In 1993 the association was officially commissioned by the city of Rostock with the independent sponsorship. The ship is located on the Unterwarnow in the Rostock district of Schmarl in the immediate vicinity of the IGA-Park. Around 20,000 people use the facility every year.In 2017 the ship was overhauled at MV Werften Warnemünde. The name "Likedeeler" was borrowed from the legend of Klaus Störtebeker and is intended to underline the equality of young people.
