The premium cycle path between Wüstenbrand and the Küchwald forest in Chemnitz will have a total length of 13.6 kilometers upon completion – it runs along a former railway line. This allows for a cycle path width of up to four meters. Currently, the sections from Riedstraße to Kalkstraße and from Kalkstraße to Paul-Jäkel-Straße, totaling 5.2 kilometers, are open. The newly constructed bridge now connects these two sections.
