The waterworks has been in operation since 1979 and includes two upper reservoirs, a machine hall and a lower reservoir. Water is pumped to the upper reservoirs during periods of lower electricity demand, such as nights and weekends. When there is a high demand for energy, the water is drained into the lower reservoir via the machine hall, in which the turbines and generators for generating electricity are located. haute-ardenne.be/de/bewegen/zu-fub/mit-pmr?id=LOD-A0-0061-0BP2
