Or alternatively, the ascent from the car park on the road over the Montana Blanca, from there to the accommodation hut (reserve beforehand). In the evening enjoy the starry sky and without any permit the next morning on the Teide. You do not need a permit for the summit ascent before the first cable car.

Take the cable car to the top and then to the summit in around 30 minutes. Breathtakingly beautiful! It is essential to register in advance via the Internet, only 300 people are allowed to the summit a day.

Appropriate clothing and sufficient water are essential. On the beach it was 30 degrees, at the summit only seven degrees! When the wind is around 50 km / h, you can cool down slightly, and the sun's intensity is extremely high. The air is also much scarcer - around 20 percent less oxygen, which you can already feel! A height of 3,718 meters is also not without ...

Since the wind had picked up, we were lucky to get down by train. As the last train of the day, we left at 1 p.m. After that, the runway was closed because of the wind. But since all hikers were registered with ID numbers, none of those who had registered stayed up. But whoever ascends in the hope of a descent should also take this risk of descent into account.

Teide summit: an absolute "must have done"! Hot air springs and sulphurous holes just below the summit. Great nature experiences are guaranteed.

A crazy view of the old caldera and the coast. The view to the summit makes one become humble towards nature. The way up are well developed, but always have walking shoes and rainproof clothing. At the driveway with the cable car was still sun, shortly thereafter clouds were there.

Take care of the approval in good time. is quite easy online and costs nothing. Only 200 people are left up the day.

An absolute highlight on Tenerife. An ascent of Kraterspitze must be planned in time - you need a permit - book here:

The tour to the summit requires a permit, which must be requested BEFORE. Is probably synonymous via the Internet. You should take the first cable car at 9:00 am to be in front of the other tourists. At the summit you can stay only 30 minutes. At the mountain station there are still 2 freely accessible paths which are also worth seeing.

We were lucky once when we took the first cable car and the station where the summit permits were checked was not occupied.

The way up past steaming sulfur holes and the view from the summit were great.

On the way to the Altavista hut one unfortunately still sees a lot of "slipper tourists" here. This ends at the latest from the viewing platform, because from there the way becomes much more difficult to commit.

    Otherwise very nice views!

    Breathtaking view!
In some cases, sulfur vapor rises from the holes here.

The permit for the summit must be booked online weeks before! It's easy - you have to choose a specific time window. The problem is, of course, that you have to be lucky with the weather on this day :) Meanwhile, there is also an online booking for the cable car - you can book at short notice. but we still have (with great pressure) only 3/4 hour later than booked can drive. Therefore it is necessary to be there in time. The time of day is a matter of taste - you definitely have enough time in the 3 hours you get for it. Alternatively, you can try with an organizer to book this tour. this is worthwhile in any case - the all-round view is terrific.

Great hike; We have a group of three mid-twenties, with relatively little experience in hiking but well-prepared and highly motivated for the route from the hiking car park Montana Blanca Sendero to the top of the Teide, for which it is best to apply for permission online some time in advance, in total 05:00 hours used incl. Drinks and meal breaks. Incidentally, we were not able to park our own parking spaces at the hiking car park itself. Here, the very limited number of parking spaces in the morning at 8:00 am were already occupied. Between the gondola car park and the Montana Blanca Sendero there is another parking space with another, which can be reached within about 10 minutes.

For the way down we had planned a gondola ride for 13,00 Euro per person, you can buy the map above on site. At the gondola station there is a clean toilet but unfortunately only a beverage and coffee machine.
