The best anti-clockwise Richmond Park climb, very short and punchy. Can be taken in the saddle or smashed out of the saddle if you're looking for a PB

Short a sharp hill if you need a few minutes of intensity!

Hill has two bumps. If you’re looking for a PR…. Spin up the first bump, then gear up on the flat bit to pick up some speed. Second bump is a scary but short ramp. Don’t gear down (much) but get out of the saddle and punch up it.

One of my cycling buddies calls Richmond Park "a cyclist's heaven" and you can see why. Safe riding, places to coffee and chat PB/kit and close shaves.
Dark Hill Ascent, is the steepest hill in Richmond, but short enough to stand up in a relatively high gear, all the way if that's your thing. Alternatively, if you're just learning to climb, you can enter at your highest speed and progressively drop down in gears as you feel the strain, just don't do it too late or you'll grind to a halt. A safe place to train for sprinting uphill or just to build uphill strength and technique. Once you've done it a few times, stop at the cafe and tell everyone about the burn.
