Hiking
Amidst this natural wealth are several burial mounds dating back approximately 5,000 years. These prehistoric graves are similar to the well-known dolmens in Havelte, but without the large boulders. Interestingly, a dolmen once stood on De Eese, but it was unfortunately demolished in the 19th century. The deceased within these burial mounds were buried in a unique way: sitting or crouching, accompanied by various utensils.
