Rainbow Park is the largest park on the shores of Alta Lake. Access to this bustling park is via Alta Lake Road.
The park features several wooden buildings that once belonged to the Rainbow Lodge. The lodge was one of the first tourists stops on the railway line from Vancouver to northern British Columbia and existed from 1914 to 1977. Alta Lake was a popular fishing and recreation spot in the early days of tourism in the region.
